Since the Star wars Battlefield beta launched on October 8th I almost missed my chance to join in the fun before it ended on the 12. EA’s new IP brings back the one game fans of the series have been waiting for. From what I’ve ben able to play the hype is very much real with big levels letting 40 players duke it out to smaller 16 player games. The beta allows for up to level 5 rank upgrades. The way you can equip your character with a variety of skills and special weapons works on a cool card deck system. With the accumulation of points you can purchase skills as you level up to help give you an edge in battle.
From snipers to ion grenades that work to damage droids, shields and vehicles. In the beta you can equip a few of the I’m sure many skills that will be available when the game launches. The action is pretty quick paced and respawns are fast. With the ability to have a partner you can both respawn near each other which is awesome when you are in the heart of the action. The 2 game modes include a capture and hold and the 40 player AT-AT raid. The capture and hold works like your standard base capture and hold letting you capture pods defend and capture for points. The 40 player AT-AT battle spawns on a huge map and gives the rebels the chance to destroy the empires super weapon. As the empire you must crush the rebels last stand.
Overall I’m happy with the beta so have others to the point EA have extended the beta for 1 more day! So at the end of the 13th of October you will have to wait until November 17th for the official launch of Battlefront on PS4,XBOX ONE,PS3,360 and later on PC.
